From our founder

Hey, it's Jaye.

Three bags, three moods, and one very salty founder.

Press play and I'll walk you through which Salty I grab when, exactly how I make mine, and the little details we obsessed over. Grab a glass of water. Or, you know, a Salty.

  • Which Salty, when
  • Two teaspoons, cold water, done

Electrolytes 101

Explained like a bestie.

Electrolytes are minerals that carry a tiny electric charge once they dissolve in water. Sodium, potassium and magnesium are the big three. You get them from food, and some leave every time you sweat.

About 60%

You're mostly water

Roughly how much of an adult body is water. Basically a very stylish water balloon.

The big three

Sodium, potassium, magnesium

The minerals you'll see on every electrolyte label, ours included, with the milligrams printed loud and proud.

Sweat

Salty for a reason

Lick your lip after a workout. That salt came from somewhere. Gym, sauna and summer all count.

Our two cents

Good food and plenty of water come first, always. What we make is the easy glass on top: real salt, real fruit, and a couple of extras we're obsessed with.

01

Real Canadian sea salt

Ocean salt with its trace minerals still in it, in every bag.

02

Creatine HCL in every bag

1000mg a glass. The easy-mixing form, so no grit and no chalky aftertaste.

03

A mushroom in every bag

Cordyceps in Turbo, Lion's Mane in Einstein, Maitake in Goddess. Canadian-grown.

Two teaspoons, cold water, shake. That's the whole recipe.

The Salty Trio

Meet your three.

One for first thing, one for desk days, one for sweaty days. Twenty-eight servings in every bag, made in Canada. Swipe through.

Which Salty, when

A Salty for every mood.

7AM

Salty Goddess

First thing, before the coffee. Strawberry lemonade with your feet still in slippers.

10AM

Salty Einstein

Meetings, deadlines, deep work, phone calls. Blueberry lemonade on the desk.

5PM

Salty Turbo

Gym bag packed, shoes laced. Citrus splash in the shaker before you sweat.

Some people do all three, some share the bags around the house. Stick to the serving on each bag.

Natural flavours. In any bag. Ever.

Every bit of flavour comes from freeze-dried fruit, so your glass tastes tart, a little salty and refreshingly real. That sediment at the bottom? That's the fruit. It's proof.

Heads up, first sip

It tastes like real fruit and real salt.

Real fruit is tart. Real salt is salty. If you're used to candy-sweet neon drinks, your first sip might make you blink. Give it three mornings, then try going back.

A tiny history lesson

How electrolytes got weird.

Way back

Salt on your food, broth on the stove, fruit in the bowl. Hydration was just... dinner.

Then sports drinks

Neon colours, lots of sugar, and a recipe built around a pro athlete mid-game.

Then the tubs

Powders got trendy, and the ingredient lists filled up with sweeteners, fillers and "natural flavour."

Where we landed

Real salt, real fruit, a mushroom and creatine. Every milligram on the label. Made right here in Canada.

Read the fine print

Natural flavour, unmasked.

It sounds like a strawberry fresh off the vine. On a label, "natural flavour" is a legal catch-all, and it's hiding in a huge number of drinks and powders.

Made in a lab

Built by flavour chemists

Something from nature gets extracted, distilled or fermented, then blended by professional flavourists into a secret recipe.

From almost anything

The source is a mystery

Under US food rules, the starting point can be fruit, spices, bark, roots, yeast, meat, seafood, dairy or eggs. The label just says "natural flavour."

Two little words

Lots of ingredients inside

One "natural flavour" can be a blend of dozens of compounds, plus carriers, solvents and preservatives that don't have to be listed on their own.

The secret's out

Even Gary Vee is calling it out.

When the loudest guy in business is side-eyeing "natural flavours" on the label, we feel very seen.

Hit play, then go flip over whatever's in your pantry. We'll wait.

So what's in ours?

Fruit you can actually name. Freeze-dried strawberry and lemon in Goddess, blueberry and lemon in Einstein, real citrus in Turbo. If it's on the label, it's in the bag.

Four ways to drink it

Shake it, sip it, freeze it.

Two teaspoons is the magic number. After that, go wild. Tap through our favourite ways to drink it.

Read this bit

The fine print, made friendly.

Two teaspoons, cold water.

That's one serving, and every bag holds 28. Start with one glass a day and see how you like it. Any teaspoon from your drawer works, and your first order comes with our steel one.

Check with your practitioner first if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Are on a low-sodium diet, or watching your blood pressure
  • Have kidney or heart concerns
  • Take any prescription medication

Questions, answered.

Will I feel a difference?

We can't promise how you'll feel, and we'd side-eye anyone who does. Bodies are wildly different. What we can tell you is exactly what's in every glass, down to the milligram, and how to make it. For anything health-related, your doctor is the best first call.

Which Salty do I drink when?

Our go-to: Goddess first thing, Einstein on desk days, Turbo before you sweat. Honestly though, they're all two teaspoons in water, so drink the one you're in the mood for.

What's in a Trio box?

One bag each of Salty Turbo, Salty Einstein and Salty Goddess. 28 servings per bag, 84 in total. Your very first order comes with a stainless steel spoon.

Why is there no scoop in the bag?

Because the world has enough plastic scoops in landfill. Two level teaspoons from your kitchen drawer is the exact serving, and we pop a steel spoon in your first order so you've got a cute one.

Isn't creatine a gym-bro thing?

It was marketed that way for years. These days it's one of the most researched supplements out there, and loads of people add it to their morning. Ours is creatine HCL, the more soluble form, so it mixes clean with no grit.

Why "a little salty"?

Because there's real Canadian sea salt in it, and we like you to taste it. Fruit up front, a little salt on the finish. Very margarita-adjacent.

How does the subscription work?

A fresh Trio ships every month at 15% off. You can skip, pause, push your date back, swap or cancel from your account anytime. Free gifts land in boxes 2, 3, 7 and 13 automatically.

What if it's not for me?

30 day returns. Email us and we'll sort it out, no awkwardness.
